Polished Concrete: A Slab Turned Statement
Mechanically ground and polished concrete that is as practical in a warehouse as it is beautiful in a kitchen extension.
Diamond grinding & polishing • Overlays & toppings • Sealing & densifying
Make an EnquiryThe most honest floor in the building.
Polished concrete is not a coating, it is the structure of your building refined into a finished surface. Mechanically ground, densified and polished, it delivers a floor with no seams to fail, no layers to delaminate and almost nothing to maintain.
Flowfloor specify the exposure and gloss level around your slab and your use case, from a subtle salt-and-pepper matt in a retail unit to a full-aggregate mirror finish in a showroom.
Where an existing slab is not suitable, we install polishable overlays to achieve the same look on almost any base.
Minimal maintenance
No waxing or coating cycles, a neutral clean keeps it looking sharp.
Any gloss, any exposure
Matt to mirror, cream to full aggregate, specified to your design.
Polished concrete options

Polished Concrete FAQs
The questions we get asked most about polished concrete.
Can my existing concrete floor be polished?
Usually, it depends on the slab hardness, flatness and any contamination. We carry out a test grind before quoting so there are no surprises.
Is polished concrete slippery?
Dry, it typically meets slip resistance standards similar to other hard floors, and anti-slip additives are available for wet areas. We’ll match the finish to your slip-risk assessment.
Is it cold underfoot?
Concrete conducts heat well, which makes it one of the best floors for underfloor heating, warm in winter, cool in summer.
How long does installation take?
A typical 100m2 domestic polish takes around a week including cure times. Larger commercial floors are programmed in phases around your operation.
