Make an EnquiryReal wood, fitted with real craft.
Nothing matches timber for warmth and character, and nothing punishes poor installation faster. Movement gaps, acclimatisation, subfloor moisture, get any of them wrong and even the most expensive boards will cup, gap or squeak.
Flowfloor’s fitters are timber specialists first. We acclimatise every batch, moisture-test every subfloor and specify the right construction, engineered or solid, glued or floating, for your building and heating system.
Whether it is a herringbone hallway, a boardroom or a full house renovation, you get a floor that looks superb on day one and better with age.

Timber Flooring FAQs
Common questions about wood floors, answered straight.
Engineered or solid wood, which should I choose?
Engineered for almost every modern setting: it is more stable, works with underfloor heating and comes in the same real-wood surfaces. Solid comes into its own in period restorations.
Can wood flooring go over underfloor heating?
Engineered boards, yes, within manufacturer temperature limits. We’ll check your system’s specification and confirm compatibility in writing.
How often does a wood floor need refinishing?
Typically every 8 to 12 years in domestic use. Hard-wax oiled floors can be spot-repaired without a full re-sand, which is why we often recommend them.
Do you fit customer-supplied wood?
Yes. We survey and moisture-test first so we can stand behind the installation.
